Observe an Indian dwelling and learn some of the history of Indians in South Carolina. Come see the animals in their natural habitat. Children can learn to dance, make a necklace, hunting techniques, dig for artifacts, etc..

5th Annual American Indian Expo

Presented by the Morgan Allen Platt Foundation at Charles Towne Landing State Historic Site.

Welcome to our 5th Annual American Indian Expo on October 30th thru November 1st, 2013. The Expo will focus on the contributions of American Indians native to South Carolina with a historical timeline of the first contact with settlers to present day involvement.

Educational exhibits and interaction will be for students only on October 30th - November 1st 2013. This will be held at Charles Towne Landing State Historical Site.

All schools must register in order to attend.

The American Indian Heritage Festival on November 2nd will be held at the MUSC Horseshoe 171 Ashley Avenue Charleston, SC from 10am to 4pm. This will be a time for the public to learn about and see the modern day American Indians of South Carolina sharing their heritage.
